Support New Bridge
New Bridge depends on the support of grant making trusts and companies and individual supporters to fund its work. Only 15% of our income comes from statutory sources.
With approximately 70,000 men, women and young people in prison, there is a real need for an independent organisation such as ours to win the trust of offenders, to offer them friendship, support and advice during their sentence and the hope that their future can be better than their past.
You can help New Bridge in a number of ways:
-
Become a Member
The first step to supporting our work is to become a member of New Bridge. The minimum annual subscription is £10 (£5 for senior citizens, students and unemployed people).
-
Make a donation
Only 15% of our annual income comes from statutory sources, so we rely on gifts from individuals, companies and charitable trusts to fund our work day by day, month by month. Please help us with a donation if you can.
-
Give by Gift Aid
The most tax-efficient way of making a gift is by Gift Aid. This enables us, as a registered charity, to reclaim tax on any donation you make provided you are a taxpayer. For every £10 you donate we can reclaim £2.80 - at no extra cost to you.
-
Leave a legacy
When you make a bequest to New Bridge, you enable us to continue our work in future years.
- Become a Voluntary Associate
As a volunteer you will receive training and the opportunity to join other colleagues offering advice, friendship and support to one or more people in prison.
